Who is not familiar with TEDx nowadays? In case you have been living under a rock with no Wi-Fi access, these independently organized gatherings feature a careful selection of TED-like talks to enrich the lives of individual communities. TEDx Kingston upon Thames is one of the many, many branches of this eclectic community. It regularly hosts the most inspiring speakers from all over the world, fills up a theatre with hundreds of attendants, and is nowadays one of the biggest TED events in the UK. Yet, as many great things, it began with a small team of passionate people, crammed together in a tiny university room. Togada was there from day one, making sure that their drive, passion and knowledge didn’t stay trapped within those four walls.
TED has very strict video and photography guidelines, meant to keep a high-quality standard between all of its subsidiaries. Maintaining such a high level can be a challenge, especially when the resources are not only limited but constantly changing. It took a high level of flexibility, resourcefulness and ingenuity, but we are proud to say that our team managed to cover every single event. It didn’t matter to us if it was a crowded little classroom, the University cafeteria or a huge theatre: during the many years of our partnership, all of our video and photography boasted not only outstanding quality standards, but it also maintained a coherent and recognizable style.
Through our video and photography service, we helped this ambitious group, that was small but thought big, to reach and surpass their dreams and objectives. This is a beautiful story, and we are proud to be part of it.
